My boyfriend and I just got engaged a little over a week ago, and I was fortunate enough to be given the ring of my dreams, which of course came from Knox!

My boyfriend and I went in to Knox a couple of times to look together and the team was so wonderful, helpful, and informative. I believe this team genuinely cares about each one of their customers and what they are looking for. They even got the ring to my boyfriend earlier than it was supposed to be finished so he could propose when we were on vacation out in Colorado... what a team!

I heard about Knox jewelers via diamondring as Brian is one of the sponsoring jewelers on that site. There is definitely a reason why they've got 5 stars on here, and such an impressive reputation. The craftsmanship on the stunning ring my partner gave me is breath-taking, and the materials used are of the highest quality. We are also not a straight couple and so we wanted to go to a jeweler that was welcoming and positive about our relationship status to buy my engagement ring. We will absolutely be returning to get Brian and his team to do more custom work on more stuff for us down the line. Just beautiful. They also offer complimentary cleaning and twice yearly rhodium plating for white gold jewelry. Bottom line: friendly, trustworthy, and the best quality work you'll find.

Brian, Brent and the group are by far the best jewelers I have worked with. My soon to be wife constantly gets complements from strangers because they have not seen anything like her ring before. Which is because Knox spent hours with us turning our idea into a ring. Everyone assumes I spent a fortune on it, but I did not spend more than the next guy who goes to the so called discount jewelers. Plus they will not sell you a crappy diamond and even tell you the tricks to saving money.

We had been looking for a unique 10th wedding anniversary ring and were frustrated that we could not find a jeweler in our area that took us seriously about creating a high quality, custom piece of jewelry. We shopped every local store and scoured the internet; we were drawn to the designs on the Knox site. After contacting Knox by email and phone, we were still a bit anxious about making such a large purchase essentially "online." Working with Brian (and Ryan) Knox, however, turned out to be comfortable and efficient. Knox is great. Their rings are beautiful (even more beautiful than in the pictures). The service is great and they accommodated my needs for fast fitting, processing, and shipping. She said yes, and loves the ring. CitySearch, on the other hand, can kiss my butt. I wrote a longer review but when I pressed DONE it brought me to the login screen and lost everything I had typed, so this one is short and sweet.

We have been very pleased with Knox Jewelers, so we came back for more! We recently purchased 3 diamond rings online from them. The diamonds are full of sparkle, and were even better than pictured. The settings are beautiful, and are high-quality too. My wife loves her new Knox rings & hasn't taken them off yet. We gave one ring to my Mom for her birthday. She loves hers too. Ryan and his family were great in working with us to create two rings in time for our wedding--an engagement ring which incorporated diamonds from Canada (our request to guarantee 99% conflict-free)--and a gold wedding band that incorporates my mom's wedding band. In both cases they worked very patiently with us. We knew nothing about wedding rings and diamonds beforehand, and weren't even sure what styles we wanted. They worked with us in their custom design process to throw out ideas, show us simulated pictures, and even create a plastic mold for me to try on. I'm sure we would be considered one of those high-maintenance customers, but we were impressed with their friendly, easy-going, and efficient manner of doing business. We would use them again.

I purchased a custom engagement ring from the gentlemen at knox, and I must say it was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had in a retail transaction. Brent was very happy to help, and answer any questions I had. I felt very comfortable and I appreciated their low key approach. No pressure here. I went to Knox Jewelers in hopes of finding something different and unique. The ring is on of a kind and she loves it. I was very impressed with how the ring turned out and how helpful the jewelers were to me. I knew nothing going into this experience. I felt like they understood that and helped me along the way. the ring they made for me to give my fiance was absolutely amazing i'm fairly certain i could have geven it to a woman that despised me and she still would have said yes. on top of theat during the whole ordering and fabrication process they were very on top of things responding to all my calls and emails promptly with the answers ready for all my questions. i've had five siblings get married and have to deal with the ring finding process and this has been by far the best experiance out of the six. you can't go wrong...

My fiancee and I wanted a unique ring, and from browsing on their website we found many in that category. It was a bit expensive, but when it arrived in the mail it was well worth it. Especially considering I'd never bought an engagement ring, things seemed to go quite smoothly, from picking out a design online, to communicating by email and phone with the owner, to final purchase. Very good service, and beautiful workmanship.

Upon finding the company and making contact with Brian Knox my concerns with designing a ring 7000 miles away were soon erased.

Brian listened to my ideas and offerred his own expert advice designing a special ring for my special lady. He sent pictures of the progress of the ring along with his observations regarding such.

Knox Jewelers sells superb jewelry at fabulous prices, and their customer service is the best!!! We just purchased a 2nd ring from Knox Jewelers & are thrilled with it! It's a 3-stone diamond ring. The center stone is a 1.04 carat Fancy Brownish Orangy Yellow Oval. It's large for a 1.04 carat and the flashes of color are AMAZING! It's almost chameleon-like and takes on different colors in different lighting. Sometimes it appears goldish, brownish orangish, orangy yellow, and even NEON yellow (it has yellow fluorescence). The cut is SUPERB! It has amazing sparkle, even for a dark colored diamond. It's flanked by 2 icy white trilliants that are well-matched and compliment the Oval beautifully. The setting is made of 14K white gold and 18K yellow gold. It's heavy and was well-made. And the price on the ring was fantastic! Brian Knox is the friendliest jeweler we've ever dealt with. He was fun & easy to work with, and he really cares about his customers. We'd definitely recommend Knox jewelers to anyone looking for a diamond ring, or a piece of fine jewelry......they even do custom work. We will definitely be back for more! Thank you!!! Best in the Twin Cities for Diamond Engagement Rings

I meticulously researched and visited several places in the Twin Cities area recently to buy a diamond engagement ring. After over a dozen visits to local jewelers it was hard to decide, to me they were all "average" and none really stood out... then I found all the great reviews (and not a single negative one) online about Knox Jewelers. So I went and checked them out in person. They were hands down better than any other jeweler I had visited. I was impressed in everything from their customer service, knowledge, selection, quality of diamonds, uniqueness of rings, and price. They had two rings that I really liked and I was able to "combine" features from each one into my own custom designed one. Knox was very helpful and it was a very easy process, with a great final product. In the two weeks my new fiancee has been wearing the ring, she has had numerous inquiries about where she got it, everyone is extremely impressed. I shopped numerous stores and websites until I found Knox. I visited the store several times before finalizing my decision but Brian and Brent were always patient and not pushy. I couldn't decide between two diamond colors so they brought in 2 special center stones so that I may compare the difference. The rings were unique, high quality, and surprisingly reasonably priced. Brent was knowledgable and was especially observant of my preferences. He made some excellent suggestions! The ring I finally chose was beautiful and everything I wanted. The team was friendly and made the buying experience exciting and satisfying.

• Cons: Closes at 6 on most weekdays, tough to schedule in if you work 9-5

Got a tip from a friend when I told him I was going to pop the question "if you want nice, clean, friendly, no sales gimmick, true quality, custom work to YOUR liking, go to Knox!" So of course I went and met Ryan. I had an idea for both rings (hers and mine) and that's wear we started and tweak after tweak we ended up with the most beautiful, prefect rings. Not only did Ryan bring my ideas to fruition, he also made great suggestions and his father and brother even added to the master pieces. No pushing, no impossibilities, just demonstrated options using his awesome CAD program that not only allow me to talk about what the ring should look like but diagramed it for me every step of the way. No change to minor to update the program. In his words "I just want it to be prefect for you". And like I sad, we have been married for 5 months and we're still caught gazing at the master pieces. Although, this was an in town purchase, most of this design work was digital (email) and worked perfectly. After months of internet research I decided to check out Knox Jewelers. I liked several of the rings I saw on their website and had read many favorable reviews. I was not disappointed; I was able to buy a very nice GIA graded diamond at a price that was comparable to internet prices I’d seen for similar size and quality. Their customer service was Great!!!, no pressure and lots of knowledgeable help. Ryan spent a lot of time answering my questions and showing me various rings and lots of diamonds (I picked the Legacy). Ryan was very quick to respond to my emails and follow-up phone calls and the ring was ready on the date promised. My fiancé loves the ring and gets compliments on the beautiful ring from all her friends. I highly recommend you check out Knox Jewelers for their price, quality, and great customer service.

I came upon Knox's website after days of unsuccessful scavenging of local area jewelers (in Cleveland) and various sites on the Internet for an engagement ring. The Knox website was definitely a welcome site; and the vast selection of rings and diamonds truly amazed me. After researching the company, I really felt that they were reputable and that I could place my trust in them, even though I live many hours away from Minneapolis. Apart from the great presentation and selection, Brian Knox was VERY helpful in helping me locate just the right diamond for the 'romance' ring I had chosen. In fact, when I was having trouble selecting a diamond , he sent me a long list of round and radiant diamonds to select from. Then, out of the blue, Brian sent me an e-mail stating that he had found 'the perfect diamond' for me. And indeed it was. My fiance was and still is ecstatic about the ring and she gets compliments nearly every day about how beautiful it is. I could not have asked for anything more. Brian even correctly predicted my fiance's ring size simply from hearing her height and weight! Now that is skillful! Anyway, we could not be happier and will be coming back for the wedding bands. I looked at fourteen or fifteen different stores in the TC area. I first went to the stores that heavily advertise on radio, man! am I glad I keep shopping around. After getting so much varying information from these stores, I decided that I needed to research this diamond stuff to sort out the facts from the hype. I found Knox through an online diamond forum (diamondring. com) where people go to learn and talk about diamonds, ring, etc. I quickly saw that Knox had an excellent reputation selling nationally. The funny thing is I nearly drove past Knox nearly 2 or 3 times a week and I never knew they were there until I started this research for a diamond ring.So, after firming up my research on what to look for and what to avoid, I visited Knox Jewelers and it was a breath of fresh air, no pressure, high quality GIA (the most highly regarded lab as I learned from my research) diamonds, countless unique rings that were not being sold at every other outlet and the prices were much lower than all of the heavily advertised stores. It was a slam dunk!

We initially purchased a diamond from a popular online diamond seller and we were at Knox looking for just the right ring for the diamond. Both my boyfriend and me soon noticed that nearly all the diamonds at Knox sparkled more than the one we purchased on the Internet. Our salesperson patiently explained and demonstrated that it is not only color and clarity that make a diamond sparkle but it is actually based on how well cut the stone is. We ended up returning the internet diamond and purchased our diamond and ring from Knox, our new diamond from Knox cost a little more than the internet diamond but it is worth every penny because it is MUCH more beautiful and the way it sparkles is beyond words. I came across Knox while trying to find a jeweler in MPLS that I saw on a billboard downtown. I am thankful that I didn't actually find the jeweler from the billboard and I found Knox instead! My boyfriend and I were looking into engagement rings and I picked out THE ONE online. We stopped into Knox several times to ask questions, compare rings, etc. and every single time we were in we were treated with the utmost respect and we did not feel pressured into buying. I was interested in making some modifications to a ring I had seen online and they were extremely helpful and assured me it could be done. Ryan & Brent Knox were definatly the differance in our decesion on where to buy our ring, their father Mr. Knox is the perfect compliment to a complete team, his over 25 years of expierience is evident in his confidence on what would work for us. We had been to all the big names and several smaller shops. The Knoxs were easy to work with (they really listened to our needs and wants) as well as knowledgeable, the fact that the first diamond that Ryan picked out was the one we fell in love with is a real testimony. Wow, what a great experience it was buying from Brian at Knox Jewelers! Although I was wary of ordering my girlfriend's (now fiance's!) ring without seeing it first, I emailed Brian the ring style I wanted, along with the price and quality range of diamond I was looking for. He emailed me back a large, detailed list of diamonds with differing qualities, which I chose from. After finishing paying for the ring, Brian shipped it to my work within a few days. Man, what a beautiful ring he and his team made for me. My fiance had tried on so many rings from so many places, but she tells me everyday how much more beautiful it is than any other she has seen. (I proposed to her at halftime of a basketball game, and we literally had people coming over from the other side of the gym saying they could see her ring sparkling from their seats!) People have told her everyday so far it is the most sparkly and beautiful ring they have ever seen. Thanks Brian and all of Knox for a great job! I heard about Knox Jewelers from a friend who is a very careful and frugal shopper and also the kind of shopper that will research products to the enth degree before purchasing. So anyways, this friend spent 9 months researching diamonds and engagement rings (online and local) and he said Knox was his final choice. Fast forward a couple years when I find myself in the market for a diamond ring. I tell my girlfriend about wanting to go and check out Knox, she was ecstatic, unbeknownst to me she had been window shopping online and really liked a number of the rings there. Long story short, we went to Knox, my girl fell in love with one of the rings and it is now on her finger and she could not be happier, which means that I could not be happier. Knox Jewelers is the only place to go for custom design rings. Ryan is a phenomenally talented designer and is unbelievably patient and helpful in the design process. Ryan helped me all along the way giving excellent advice (advice even to save me money) The acid test of course is in the finished ring and the quality of my ring was impeccable as was every other ring that I looked at Knox. My advice, don't waste your time and money with part time custom ring makers, this is all Knox does and they are clearly the best!

A little background: I live in Cleveland, OH, and found Knox Jewelers online. I had been searching locally for a few months and had been turned off by all of the jewelers that asked "what size center stone are you looking for?" as soon as I walked in the door. To me the design was the first step while picking a center stone was secondary. I was searching the web and came across a message board that raved about Knox Jewelers. I checked it out and found they had a few designs that matched what I was looking for. It was now time to talk to someone at Knox. I sent my first email well after work hours and had a reply from Brian Knox first thing in the morning. Brian replied to every subsequent email during normal business hours within 30 minutes. Every answer was complete and sometimes answered what would be my follow-up question. Brian never asked about the center stone until after I had picked the design. To pick the center stone, he had sent me a list of diamonds available. With his close help I was able to comfortably choose the correct diamond for the me. Payment by wire transfer was simple. Brian gave me all of the information I needed. The next day he was able to give me confirmation of payment. Even though it was unasked, Brian kept me informed on the progress of the ring from start to finish. Shipping of the ring was overnight to my apartment. I was not able to make it home until the afternoon so Brian had UPS deliver then. Sure enough, it was delivered after I made it home. When I opened the box it was exactly as I was hoping: stunning. Knox Jewelers made the perfect ring that I searched everywhere to find. I can't recommend Knox Jewelers enough. An engagement ring can be a very stressful purchase in person let alone over the Internet. Brian Knox and the rest of his team made me feel very confident with my purchase. I always felt Brian was available to me either by email or phone. Their attention to the details was off the chart.

What can I say about Brian Know that has not already been written here? What a gentleman! He listens (women like that) responds promptly (we like that too) and produces exactly what your heart desires (If I weren't already engaged....). I just recieved my engagement ring, a triple cushion, contour trellis design that I spent 5 years searched stores and the web looking for! Not only did Knox create the stunning platinum setting, they sourced numerous stones for my fiance and I to inspect when we flew there to put the whole ring together. The showroom has more diamonds in more unique and beautiful settings then I have ever seen. It was hard to be sure I had picked the right setting until he pulled it from the case and I tried it on. WOW, my heart jumped, and I knew, I had made the right decision. Brian helped me choose the perfect stones too, then Ira and I flew home (Princeton NJ) knowing we were in capable hands. The Cad drawing was great, and the final photo's (available on their website under recent custom work) were even more fabulous. But I cannot tell you the emotions that overflow daily as I go about my routine, only to have people stop me again and again to tell me they have never seen a diamond with more sparkle or life, and such a gorgeous setting too! I have to hold back the tears, knowing my husband-to-be loved me enough to let me design my own ring, and even flew to the twin cities to be sure I got just the right Jeweler. I just hope he is as happy when I tell him next year I am commisioning Brian to make me a diamond tennis bracelet of cushion cut diamonds to match! Knox rocks!

I found Knox jewelers while searching on-line for potential engagement rings. I found several rings on their website that I thought were absolutely beautiful. I live in Maryland, and ironically, had traveled to the Twin Cities area for business. My flight inadvertently was delayed, and I ended up getting to their shop 15 minutes before closing. Both Brian & Ryan were so kind to my fiance and I. They patiently showed us ring after ring, well after closing time. We found a wonderful ring, that I couldn't be happier with. my fiance purchased a custom setting for my engagement ring at Knox and we couldn't be more happy with it. it is a stunner! high quality craftsmanship, no pressure atmosphere and responsive customer service. before we decided on Knox, we went to nearly every jewelry store in the Twin Cities, and did a lot of research online. this was the best of the best. although the basic price for the setting was very, very affordable...all the extra customization fees and stone-setting fees really added up.

I found the perfect ring online. I didn't want to buy it online so I looked EVERYWHERE for another one. No one has rings quite this nice. No one else even knows where to FIND a ring this nice. By the time I finally came to my senses and decided on Knox it was almost too late. We had 3 weeks to get it from Minneapolis to Hawaii. What's worse is that Knox Jewelers didn't have one made and ready to be shipped. They actually made my ring to order and shipped it to Hawaii in 2 1/2 weeks. I got the perfect ring and I got it in time to plan the "big question" perfectly. I couldn't have done it without Knox.

You're paying extra for the big box rent and advertising. Knox is family-owned, small and personal. Their service is second to none. They were great about responding to all of my questions promptly and with enough information to help me make an informed decision. I purchased a Hand Engraved Filigree Princess Trim Engagement Band for my Fiance' it was the best jewelery purchase I have ever made. From the Moment we got engaged she has not been able to keep her eyes off it, I catch her all the time looking at it. She knows how special she is to me and I was able to show her by presenting her with a ring that truly is a symbol of my love for her. Also Brian Knox was excellent when it comes to customer service he quicky returned e-mails and phone calls. He would call and give me updates as to things like the custom engraving has been completed and the stones will be set in a few days. I am very pleased with the service I received at Knox jewelers. Ryan was always prompt and straight forward with responses to questions. I had a tight deadline on delivery of the ring, and they got it done with time to spare. In addition, my fiancee LOVES the ring, and her only complaint is that it is a distraction wanting to look at it all the time. I would recommend this jeweler to anyone without reservation.

My finance and I ordered my engagement ring from the Web site after speaking to Brian. We had been to several stores in our own state but the uniqueness of the design was not matched nor was the service. He answered all of our questions and made us feel very comfortable. We never felt pressured or taken advantage of. When we mistakenly tried to have a stone set by someone else which altered the ring, Brian gave an honest opinion of whether or not to fix it and offered to fix the mistake someone else made if we wanted (we sent him digital pictures). I purchased my fiance's engagement ring at Knox, and afterwards I wouldn't go anywhere but Knox for our wedding bands. Brian and Ryan Knox are both incredibly patient and fast. They quickly provided me with beautiful CAD renderings of the rings that looked exactly like the end product, there is no surprise in what you are getting. Unlike many jewelers that constantly try for the upsell, they are very good at finding the best quality stones and settings within your budget. They even called when the price of platinum had a momentary drop so that I could take advantage of the savings. The end result is a very happy fiance who has had a barrage of compliments on her ring.

My fiance bought my setting from Brian Knox. He was able to find the setting for us. We found this obsure setting at a small local store. When the piece was priced as a custom piece we tried to look for the setting elsewhere. After scouring the Diamond District in NYC and countless online websites with no luck, we posted on diamondtalk. We asked if any jeweler could help. Brian came to the rescue. The manufactuer would only sell to Brick and Mortar stores. Brian was our link. He was able to make it all happen thousands of miles away. We are in Connecticut. I did all off my transactions from North Carolina and they were extremely helpful with there web-site and the service they provided over the phone. Knox jewelers made the custom set and put in a diamond I had selected. Superb workmanship and flexibility. Knox jewelers was extremely professional when it came to educating me on diamonds/jewelery and were focused on making me satisfied vice making a profit. ... I was ready to order from an online vendor when I found out that Knox Jewelers was only an hour and a half drive away. So I started to email Brian from Knox Jewelers. ( Which, I must add he is very prompt at returning email.) He ended up having some stones that fit my requirements, so I took the drive to Minneapolis to go see him. When I got there I noticed how nice and neat his store was, after looking at many of the other local jewelry stores and seeing how cluttered and not kept up they can be it was a great sign. Even though I had limited budget... he treated me with great respect and never once tried to pressure me into buying. He actually showed me that I could save allot of money by going down on carat weight, from the “magic numbers” ie .45ct instead of .5ct, and comparing them side by side it was hard to see a big difference. …A frequent topic  of discussion appears to be the B&M vs. internet debate. I did ALOT of shopping in both venues and had mixed experiences across the board. Getting the rings was by far the easiest part of wedding preparations.  I googled "Jewelry Designer Minneapolis" and Knox was the first name on the list. And it turned out to be the only jewelery store we went to.  We were going to design a ring, but on first visit to Knox I saw a ring I liked in the case.
